The Ayrshire Roads Alliance, as part of its ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on Glasgow Road, Kilmarnock.
The works, which will take place in three phases, are due to start on Sunday 20 June and will continue for up to 6 weeks. To undertake these works safely and efficiently, the affected roads will be closed Sunday to Thursday from 19:00 to 06:00, when signed accordingly.
Motorists are advised to watch out for the Advance Notification Signage, which will be erected on site with the dates of each phased closure.
Phase one – is due to start on Sunday 20 June, with works taking place from the Southcraigs roundabout to the A77 slip roads. The works will include full carriageway resurfacing and a new road layout, with refuge islands being installed and new road markings.
Phase two – is due to start on Sunday 4 July, with works taking place from the Western Road roundabout to Southcraigs roundabout. The works will include full carriageway resurfacing and new road markings.
Phase three – is due to start on Sunday 18 July, with works taking place at Western Road roundabout. The works will include full carriageway resurfacing and road markings.
An alternative route will be in place during each phase and will be signed accordingly.
