Due to an ongoing incident in which a tanker overturned the A71 from Moorfield Roundabout to Corsehill remains closed.
The Eastbound carriageway is open, however, the Westbound carriageway requires 2500 sqm of resurfacing, works which commenced 3 March at 8.00am.
It is envisage that the Westbound carriageway will remain closed until at least Saturday evening.
A signed diversion is in place – B7081 > Kilmarnock Road > Crosshouse > Springside > Derghorn.
