As part of an ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on the B742.
B742 By Holesbog S Bend, Coylton
works are expected to be carried out between Monday 15 May until Monday 22 May 2023 .
The road is expected to be closed between 8am and 5pm each day with it being open out-with these times.
An alternative route will be signed via Travel along the B742 to the A713 junction at Boghall Cottages and turn right onto the A713 and travel towards A77 Bankfield roundabout take the third exit and continue along the A77 to Holmston Roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A70 and continue to Coylton and return
B742 A70 at Hillhead to C21 Craigs Road Junction, Coylton
Works are expected to be carried out between Monday 22 May until Monday 29 May 2023.
The road is expected to be closed between 8am and 5pm each day with it being open out-with these times.
An alternative route will be signed via Travel along the B742 to the junction with the A713 and turn right onto the A713, travel along to the Bankfield roundabout on the A77 and take the third exit to the A77 Holmston roundabout, take the third exit onto the A70 and travel towards Coylton and return
To protect roads operatives and the travelling public, a road closure will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
Please note the works are weather dependent and road opening times may be delayed if there is adverse weather.
