As part of an ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on a stretch of the A735 Dunlop to Stewarton Road, Dunlop.
The works will commence from Monday 12 June until Sunday 25 June 2023.
To protect the roads operatives and the travelling public, a road closure will be implemented between 8am and 6pm with it being open out-with these times.
- During the road closure period there will be no access to or from the adjacent junctions at the U39 Gouknest Road or C7 Neilston Roads.
- A Prohibition of Waiting Order will be implemented on Main Street Dunlop, between the Kirk and Kirkland Road to alleviate any congestion
A signed diversion route will be in place for:
Non high sided vehicles via: B778 from Stewarton, A736 Auchentiber, before re-joining the A735 Lugton to Dunlop and vice versa.
High sided vehicles requiring access to and from Dunlop via: B706 in both directions
Please note the works are weather dependent and road opening times may be delayed if there is adverse weather.
