Join the Ayrshire Roads Alliance and North Ayrshire council road safety teams for their Fit For the Road Experienced driver road safety event.

Who is the event for?

This free event is open to any driver over the age of 55 living in Ayrshire, and will begin with a presentation delivered by Police Scotland and Urquhart Opticians, from having a go at Highway Code Theory and Hazard Perception Test to mocktail tasting. this event offers something for everyone.

RoSPA Scotland are even offering a chance to participate in an assessed drive, this assessment normally costs £55 however the Ayrshire Roads Alliance and North Ayrshire Council are offering a limited number of free assessments on the day of the event. Who will be at the event?

RoSPA Scotland will be on hand to provide information on renewing your licence, continuing to drive as well as providing details on further driver training courses.

East Ayrshire Council Vibrant Communities – Find out about health checks, exercise classes, walking, social groups

Urquhart Opticians – Providing eye sight checks

Active Travel Hub – Sharing alternatives to driving

Scottish Fire and Rescue – Basic first aid and smoke alarm information

Trading Standards Scotland – Sharing information on trusted traders, scam awareness and bogus crime.
