We have received a severe weather warning from the Met Office

Snow and ice

Between 12:00 (UTC) on Tues 17 Jan 2023 extended until 12:00 (UTC) on Thurs 19 Jan 2023

Wintry showers bringing further disruption from ice and snow.

Showers will fall as a mix of rain and hail near coasts with sleet and snow inland at times, mainly overnight.

This will lead to some temporary snow accumulations at low levels, whilst higher ground could see a further 2-5 cm of snow. For most parts of the warning area, however, ice will be the main hazard.

Winter gritting

As road surface temperatures are set to drop our winter gritting operatives are heading out, our gritters can be viewed on Gritter Tracking
