As part of an ongoing programme to improve the condition of the road network, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance will be carrying out essential road resurfacing works on a stretch of the B743 Muirkirk to Strathaven Road.
The works will commence on Tuesday 9 May 2023 and could last for up to 8 working days.
To protect the roads operatives and the travelling public, a road closure will be implemented on weekdays only between 8am and 6pm.
The affected area is from and including the junction of the U731 Greenock Water Road to the boundary with South Lanark.
A signed diversion route will be in place via: B743 to Strathaven, A71 to A719 Galston onto B7037 to B743 continuing through Sorn to A70 Muirkirk, before re-joining the B743 Muirkirk to Strathaven Road and vice versa.
Please note the works are weather dependent and road opening times may be delayed if there is adverse weather.
