On 29 June 2023 Councillors approved a series of ‘Ward Capital Projects’ that will take place throughout 2023 – 2024 as part of a £1m capital investment per ward programme in South Ayrshire.
These projects were identified through consultations, and have been approved by the Council’s Capital Asset Management Group. The allocated funds can only be spent on fixed assets such as outdoor play areas and seating, or one-time, larger purchases that have a lasting legacy. The projects are designed to enhance each area and promote civic and community pride, and include upgrades to Prestwick and Ayr Promenades and Troon Esplanade and the installation of new underbridge LED lighting.
